Are you a Data Translator looking for a new role?

We have a newly created role of Data Translator that we are really excited to recruit to.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll work in collaboration with our data community and IT teams to design, implement and operate Aster\xe2\x80\x99s data platform. This will not only improve data access for our analytic teams, it will also promote self-service, facilitate data science insights and improve data driven decision making.

You will be the link between the data community and IT. You will work closely with the IT team to ensure date is accessible and efficiently structured.

Your remit will see you develop fit for purpose, scalable, future proof data services that are resilient and meet our user\xe2\x80\x99 needs.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll build really strong working relationships, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be a \xe2\x80\x98go to\xe2\x80\x99 person in Aster\xe2\x80\x99s data world and will be able to provide specialist technical advice and guidance to colleagues. You\xe2\x80\x99ll understand that data isn\xe2\x80\x99t everyone\xe2\x80\x99s thing, but you\xe2\x80\x99ll help the wider business acknowledge that it can drive efficiency, transformation and growth.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll naturally be interested in where the data world is going so you\xe2\x80\x99ll have an understanding of emerging technologies and will ideally have experience working with Dynamics.

About you

You are likely to be educated to degree level or have demonstrable experience as a Data Translator.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll have recent career experience in some of the following areas, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, T-SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Python, PowerShell, .NET, Power BI.

You will have a demonstrable understanding of how to expose data from systems, link data from multiple systems and deliver streaming services. You\xe2\x80\x99ll understand how systems are structured to enable date to be found, used and associated with other data. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also have significant experience working with a cloud data platform, ideally Microsoft.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be experienced in designing data architecture, which can deal with specific business problems.

One of your strengths will be building strong working relationships and you\xe2\x80\x99ll naturally grow a network of support around you. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be adept at managing expectations and explaining technical detail to those not as tech savvy as yourself.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll bring with you those typical skills that this role requires, strong time management, working under pressure, working with deadlines and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.

This role will enable you to work from home or the office, whichever works best for you. From time to time you will be required to attend face to face meetings, so being happy to travel within our operating region is a must.
