Responsibilities:



Ensure the proper functioning of databases by monitoring performance, optimizing queries, and resolving any issues that may arise. Design and implement databases that are efficient, scalable, and meet the organization's data requirements. Implement and maintain database security, including user access control and data encryption, to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access. Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to safeguard data in case of system failures or disasters. Maintain data integrity by implementing data validation rules and constraints, ensuring accurate and consistent data. Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and system configuration adjustments. Plan and execute database software upgrades and patches to keep systems up to date. Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices. Set up monitoring tools to track database performance and create alerts for potential issues. Forecast and plan for future database growth and scaling requirements. Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of databases with applications and infrastructure. Ensure that the organization's databases adhere to industry standards and compliance regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX.

Skills & Qualification Required:



Practical experience as a Database Administrator or in a related role is crucial. Proficiency in one or more database management systems, such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Strong SQL skills are essential for query optimization, troubleshooting, and data manipulation. Certifications related to database administration, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator will be a plus. DBAs should have the ability to diagnose and solve database-related issues quickly and efficiently. Effective communication skills are important for collaborating with other IT professionals and conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders. The ability to stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices is crucial in this constantly evolving field.

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
