Database Administrator - Microsoft & Dataverse Specialist



2 Cavendish Square, 2 days on-site per week



Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week



Contract: Fixed Term - 6 months from start date



Job Overview




We are seeking a skilled and proactive Database Administrator with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (On Premises and Cloud) and Dataverse to manage, optimize, and secure our data infrastructure. This role is pivotal in supporting our cloud-first strategy, ensuring availability, performance, and scalability of our business-critical data.

Key Responsibilities



Database Management & Optimization



+ Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases that are related to our Dynamics CRM solutions (on-premises and Azure-based)
+ Design and manage Dataverse environments for Power Platform and Dynamics 365 applications
+ Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal efficiency
+ Perform regular backups, recovery testing and disaster recovery planning

Data Governance & Security



+ Implement and enforce data security policies, access controls and compliance standards
+ Ensure data integrity and consistency across integrated systems

Integration & Automation



+ Collaborate with developers to integrate databases with Power Apps, Power Automate and other Microsoft services
+ Develop and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or custom scripts
+ Support API-based integrations between Dataverse and external systems

Monitoring & Support



+ Proactively monitor database health and resolve issues before they impact operations
+ Provide Tier 2/3 support for database-related incidents and service requests
+ Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides

Required Skills & Qualifications



3+ years of experience in database administration with Microsoft SQL Server Familiarity with Azure SQL, Azure DevOps and Dynamics 365 environments Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dataverse and Power Platform architecture Strong understanding of relational and cloud-based data models Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell, and data migration tools Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Database Administrator Associate, Power Platform Functional Consultant) are a plus
