40,000 - 60,000 pa depending on experience Full-time UK (with occasional travel to London/Cambridge)

Neo Fintech Labs is a fast-growing financial technology company with ten years of experience building and maintaining a bespoke banking and treasury platform.

We are expanding our technical team and seeking a skilled DBA to support our platform's scalability, performance, and reliability, as well as to help build out data-warehousing needs.

You'll work closely with developers, support teams, and business operations to ensure database performance, reliability, and reporting efficiency.

Role Overview



As our DBA, you will be responsible for the design, optimisation, and monitoring of our database systems, primarily within the Azure SQL Database environment.

You will work closely with developers and support teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and security of sensitive financial information across our organisation.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements



Design, maintain, and optimiseAzure SQL Databases to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing database environments.

Monitor performance, availability, and securitywith tools and metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Implement backup, recovery, and monitoring strategiesto maintain data integrity and minimise downtime through robust procedures.

Develop data warehouses and reporting solutionsto support analytics and decision-making with structured data models.

Create and maintain report processes*using SQL and BI tools to deliver accurate, timely insights to business stakeholders.

Support data modelling and schema designby collaborating with developers, to ensure efficient and maintainable database structures.

Diagnose and resolve database issues*with support team and assist in troubleshooting and performance tuning across environments.

Desirable Skills



Experience with advanced reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS) Familiarity with ETL pipelines (e.g., Azure Data Factory) Experience with Azure SQL security features, such as Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), and Defender Use of SQL Profiler, Query Store, or Extended Events for diagnostics Understanding of database architecture practices to best advise development teams Exposure to DevOps practices for database deployment and automation Use of version control systems (e.g. Git) for managing database scripts
