Wexel Gaming Limited is an established and dynamic company supplying gambling products into the high street, casinos, cruise ships and the online gaming space.

We're seeking a Database Engineer to manage our PostgreSQL infrastructure and work closely with our development team (C# ASP.NET backend, Vue.js/TypeScript frontend) to design and optimise database solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and optimise PostgreSQL databases across our infrastructure Administer Linux servers hosting database instances Collaborate with developers during sprint planning to design efficient database schemas and queries Review and approve all database changes to maintain code quality and performance standards Provide technical guidance on database architecture and best practices for ASP.NET applications Performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimisation Implement backup, recovery, and security procedures Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues

Required Skills:

Strong PostgreSQL administration and design experience Database schema design and normalisation Query optimisation and performance tuning Understanding of ASP.NET/C# application patterns and ORM usage Ability to work collaboratively with development teams Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Desirable Skills:

Linux and Windows Server administration (IIS) Scripting (SQL, Bash, PowerShell, Python) Version control (Git) Database migration tools API architecture understanding
