As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering compassionate care in their homes. This position requires a strong commitment to patient welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various caregiving tasks.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
Assist clients with mobility and transfers.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
Support clients with daily living activities and ensure their comfort and safety.
Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or case manager.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients during challenging times, including hospice care when needed.
Deliver specialised care where required, including:
NIV (Non-Invasive Ventilation) support
Cough Assist usage
Medication administration
PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) feeding support
Requirements
Previous experience in home care or patient care is highly desirable.
Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare team.
Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others.
Valid driving licence is preferred
Must be trained in NIV, Cough Assist, medication administration, and PEG feeding.
A caring attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
