We are currently looking for a full time care assistant to join our team at Yorklea nursing home in Chorlton.

Must be flexible and able to work weekends

As a care assistant you will be expected to:

To deliver hands on care to residents in a person centred way while assist clients with personal care tasks. Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, re-positioning and movement of clients. Observe, monitor and record clients' physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life and encourage participate in social and recreational activities. Exemplify our Philosophy of Care Act in accordance with the General Social Care Councils Code of Conduct Promote the good reputation of the home at all times. Carry out all duties in a safe manner showing regard to the health, safety and welfare of self, colleagues, patients and visitors to the home.

The Ideal care assistant will:

A friendly approach and the ability to put residents at ease, whatever their physical or social needs Delivery of care in a residential/Nursing setting. A good knowledge of basic health care and hygiene standards Demonstrate the ability to work in a team Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 34.5 - 46 per week
