Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives through personalised care and assistance. The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to delivering compassionate care. Shifts include 8-2 or 2-8 or 8-8 . Preference to applicant having experience in care homes and supporting Residents with Dementias and nursing needs

Responsibilities



Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Support with meal preparation and feeding where necessary Help clients follow their individual care plans to meet their specific needs Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients at all times Support with medication management as per care plans (training provided if needed) Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Skills



Driving licence is desirable for supporting home care visits Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Compassionate nature with strong organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable with a professional attitude towards client confidentiality and dignity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-12.71 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
