About the Role
As a
Day Care Assistant
, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents living with dementia through the day. You'll ensure their comfort, safety, and wellbeing, while leading by example and promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere within the team.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Providing personal and emotional care throughout the day
Leading and supporting care colleagues during the shift
Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing and responding to changes promptly
Supporting residents with end-of-life (EOL) care where required
Maintaining accurate care records and following care plans
Promoting independence, dignity, and respect at all times
About You
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, confident, and committed to delivering excellent care.
Essential:
Experience leading or supervising shifts
Dementia knowledge and experience
Genuine passion for caring for others
Willingness to work alternate weekends
Desirable:
End-of-life care experience
