Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Support individuals with mobility and daily activities in accordance with their care plans Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals and document accordingly Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure personalised care delivery Support the organisation of activities that promote residents' well-being and engagement Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for all

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving community visits or home care services Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans Excellent communication skills, empathetic nature, and the ability to work as part of a team Reliable, patient, and respectful attitude towards residents' individual needs and preferences
