Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the comfort and well-being of each individual. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional health. Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as necessary. Engage residents in social activities to enhance their quality of life and emotional well-being. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with residents and staff. Strong IT skills to manage documentation and utilise electronic care systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with residents and their families. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to vulnerable individuals.
