Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities and implementing care plans tailored to each individual's needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they care for.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities including meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Follow care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each client. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition. Promote a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is advantageous but not essential. A strong command of English is required for effective communication with clients and team members. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is beneficial. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. A caring nature with the ability to empathise with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Pay: 12.21-13.15 per hour
