We are looking for a chef to work in a homely and fun nursery preparing delicious and nutritious meals for the children.
Duties/Responsibilities
*Prepare and cook daily nutritious and high quality meals and snacks for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years for up to 53 children a day.
*Plan seasonal menus to cater for allergies, dietary requirements and preferences
*Adhere to food safety standards, HACPP and Environmental Health regulations and complete relevant paperwork and monitoring in accordance with Health and Safety standards.
*Keep a clean and organised kitchen area and adhere to good hygiene practices
*Work as part of a team and with the kitchen assistant with good organisational skills
*Weekly food lists completed for management to order, putting away the delivery every Monday. Ensure good stock rotation.
*Cleaning of kitchen and equipment
Experience
*Previous experience in catering and hospitality desirable but not essential
*Ideally a level 2 or 3 qualification in food hygiene. If not a willingness to undertake this qualification which would be paid for.
*Enhanced DBS is required for this roll before commencement, undertaken by the nursery. References would be required.

Pay: 12.90 per hour
