Debbie Jo is looking for a new Day Chef to join our independent bakery in west London.
Our sandwiches are BANGING, a major part of the business and we are looking for someone with a passion for creating amazing sandwiches. Ideal candidates will have good experience producing other lunch items like quiches, soups, salads as well as jams, granolas and other deli products.
The business has grown since opening in 2023 and we are now looking for a dedicated Chef to join and work alongside our team of talented Bakers.
There is also the opportunity to work with pastry and learn from our team of skilled bakers.

Full Time Role - 5 days a week
The shift pattern is 0730-1330 (6 hours).
Salary dependant on experience but minimum 15 p/h.

Duties
Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality lunch time dishes in accordance with the bakery's standards.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies.
Assist in managing kitchen operations during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Excellent organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
Proficiency in food preparation and production, with an understanding of various cooking methods.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when required.
A passion for culinary arts, with creativity in developing new recipes and presentations.
