Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with residents to support their daily activities and assist in the implementation of personalised care plans. Your leadership skills will be essential in supervising junior staff and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and team members.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences. Implement and monitor care plans tailored to individual resident requirements. Supervise and support junior staff members, providing guidance and training as necessary. Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in condition to the nursing team. Ensure a safe and clean environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in a care home or senior care environment is essential. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues. Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation. Strong leadership abilities to supervise staff effectively and promote teamwork. A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Pay: 12.30 per hour
