Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager for term time ,to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and management, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children alike.

Responsibilities

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff in delivering high-quality childcare and education. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that meet the developmental needs of children. Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their children's progress. Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety guidelines. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement strategies for improvement as needed. Manage budgets, resources, and supplies efficiently to ensure smooth nursery operations. Organise staff training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills.

Skills

Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting. Strong leadership capabilities to inspire and motivate staff. Prior experience working with children in a childcare or educational environment is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues effectively. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation purposes related to nursery activities.
