Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee our childcare setting in central Watford. Housed within Lanchester Primary School the nursery is a popular choice for the community and beyond. Registered for 40 children, our staff team of 12 is well established and motivated.

The Nursery Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and providing a nurturing and educational environment.

Duties
- Manage all aspects of the nursery, including staff supervision, scheduling, and curriculum development
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
- Support staff to implement developmentally appropriate activities and educational programs
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and health and safety standards
- Handle administrative tasks such as record keeping, budget management, and staff evaluations
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for both children and staff
- Collaborate with other departments or organisations

Professional Qualifications

- Minimum Level 3 Early Years Educator (or equivalent) with post qualifying leadership experience

-Desirable Early Years Education graduate

Person Specification:

- Previous experience in nursery management is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, practices & child development
- Ability to drive positive outcomes for all children
- Passion for working with children and creating a nurturing environment for their development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-38,000.00 per year
