Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for supervising junior staff, implementing care plans, and ensuring that all residents receive the support they need to maintain their dignity and independence. Strong communication skills and a passion for senior care are essential for this role.

Duties



Supervise and support junior care staff in their daily responsibilities, ensuring high standards of care are maintained. Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to the specific needs of each resident. Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care coordination. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment. Administer medications as prescribed. Lead and run an effective shift.

Experience



Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively. Proficiency in IT systems relevant to care documentation and communication. A strong understanding of the needs of elderly individuals within a care home setting. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately with both residents and colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
