Parkway Special Needs Day Service is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and caring person to work on a 1:1 basis with an individual with complex needs within a well-established Day Service, 30 hrs a week, 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. This is a 1:1 role supporting a female service user, so a female post holder is required.

Due to the nature of the service, we are seeking a person to work on a 1:1 basis with an individual with a profound Learning disability and complex needs. Experience of Manual Handling, Personal Care, Positive Behaviour Management, Epilepsy and Administrating Medication would be essential. A willingness to work as part of a staff team to support the service user to follow a range of daily activities for them to achieve their agreed outcomes is essential.


The successful candidate would require an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Social Care or be willing to work towards this professional qualification.


You would receive regular supervision, be expected to undertake a range of training opportunities, and contribute to the continuing development of the service. You would be required to hold a full driving licence, have business insurance, and be a car owner. You may also be asked to work within other services when required.
