Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing homes, hospice care, or case management, and possess a strong understanding of patient care, including dementia care. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients while helping them maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Prepare nutritious meals according to individual dietary needs and preferences. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health condition. Develop and implement personalised care plans that address the specific needs of each client. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote overall health and well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in nursing homes or hospice care settings is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care techniques and patient care best practices is essential. Ability to prepare meals that cater to specific dietary requirements. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Certification in first aid is an advantage but not mandatory. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial traits for success in this role. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to accommodate client schedules.
