Duties

Assisting clients with daily activities such as washing, dressing, and mobility Supporting individuals with personal care needs while respecting their dignity and privacy Helping with meal preparation and feeding where necessary Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans Providing companionship and emotional support to clients Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems Following prescribed care plans and reporting any changes in clients' health or behaviour to senior staff Supporting clients in maintaining their independence and encouraging participation in activities Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines

Skills

Good communication skills, able to converse effectively in English with clients and team members Basic IT skills for maintaining documentation and care records Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care visits Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and reliably
