Home Care Assistant (Day/Night)

to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients in their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow detailed care plans for clients with complex needs.

Duties

Provide personalised support to clients with complex care needs, including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, medication prompts, and meal preparation. Follow individualised care plans to meet the specific physical, emotional, and social needs of clients. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety protocols. Observe, document, and report any changes in a client's health, behaviour, or well-being accurately and promptly. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care. Provide support during day and night shifts, including overnight monitoring for clients requiring night care. Travel to various locations in and around the North Manchester/Bury areas. Utilise IT systems for record keeping, care planning, and reporting.

Qualifications

Previous 6 months experience in home care or working with clients with complex needs is essential. A caring, empathetic attitude with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Basic IT skills to manage client records and use care management software. A valid driving licence is advantageous Flexibility to work both day and night shifts is preferred but not essential
