The

DBS Leader

is responsible for promoting and leading the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System within Leica Biosystems. They will be a key business partner who is results driven with a strong and proven ability to drive effective use of DBS tools.


The position of Danaher Business System Leader, Innovation reports to the Global Director DBS Innovation with the primary responsibility to enable growth by building the Innovation Engine and deploying DBS Innovation tools. The role functions as the leader within a cross-functional space (business leadership, strategy & innovation, product management, product development and commercial teams) bearing responsibility for driving process improvements and building organizational capabilities. They will utilize Problem Solving Process to identify gaps in process, talent, and environment, and develop action plans to close the gaps, and sustain any countermeasures implemented. Success will be measured by increasing the Innovation Growth Equation, by increasing Incremental Pipeline/Funnel Value, by improving Project On-Time-Delivery and driving Revenue Achievement focusing on Advanced Assays & Pharma Services.

Major Responsibilities



Drive growth by building the Innovation Engine and applying DBS Innovation tools focusing on Advanced Assays Center of Excellence & Pharma Services, and across Leica Biosystems. Create a DBS roadmap; lead and facilitate the development and management of Innovation and New Product Development initiatives to achieve annual targets, Policy Deployment (PD), and strategic plan objectives. Lead the Innovation Growth Equation reporting and related reporting for Leica Biosystems Develop Rationalized Roadmaps that deliver on the organic Core Growth goals of Advanced Assays & Pharma Services and across Leica Biosystems, which are aligned with the strategic plan. Drive and facilitate product planning, product development, partnerships and commercialization processes Support Policy Deployment initiatives in partnership with business leadership

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Science / Business with 5+ years of leadership in product development and product management or continuous improvement. Proven ability to consistently deliver business results Experience in Product Management and Project Management Creating winning product roadmaps, defining customer requirements for products and launching medical products through successful cross-functional project management Ability to work with various functions in the implementation of the DBS roadmap and implement key Innovation initiatives Successfully drives change, handles conflict / ambiguity Superior skills in communications, training / adult learning, consulting / influencing; teamwork across disciplines, regions, and cultures

Preferred Qualifications



Master's Degree in Science or Business MBA Experience in agile product development methods (such as Scrum or Design Thinking) Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training and facilitation environments

Travel Requirement:



Travel ability is mandatory (domestic and international), expectations for this role are 25% for initial 3 months then up to 20% after immersion. Will include some domestic and international travel and support for other Leica Biosystems sites. This role is based at an LBS site: Newcastle, UK
