About the role:
The School of Medicine and Dentistry are seeking to appoint a DCP Epidemiological Studies Supervisor to join our existing campus-based team. The post holder will provide clinical examinations, oral health instruction and advice to patients, carers, and others within the community as part of our contracted OHID epidemiology oral health surveys.
The ideal candidate will be required to successfully train and calibrate at a northwest based event to be able to participate in the delivery of oral health surveys education/promotion and epidemiology studies. Additionally, the role may require a limited treatment service with direct referrals received for adults or children as defined by the GDC Scope of Practice.
About you:
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experiential learning, along with a registration with the General Dental Council as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist.
You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to work within a team and substantial experience of working as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist within a primary care setting.
Additional information:
This role will be worked over two days per week. This position is based in Preston and the successful candidate may be required to travel between sites during the working day.
