Role Overview:

We are looking for a

Debt Collection Operator

to join our finance and operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, maintaining strong relationships with customers, and supporting smooth cash flow operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor accounts receivable and overdue balances. Proactively contact clients to ensure timely payment of invoices. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any billing or payment discrepancies. Coordinate closely with internal departments (Operations, Accounts, Sales) to address queries efficiently. Prepare regular reports on collection status and aged debt using Excel. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in company systems, including

CargoWise

. Support management with ad-hoc financial and administrative tasks related to credit control.

Requirements:

Previous experience in

freight forwarding

,

logistics

, or

customs clearance

is a strong advantage. Experience with

CargoWise

is an advantage. Proficient in

Microsoft Excel

(data management, reports, pivot tables, etc.) is a

must

. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail, organisation, and follow-up discipline. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hybrid setup.
