Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and conscientious Decontamination Nurse to join our friendly, forward-thinking team in our modern, state-of-the-art dental practice located in Stroud.

This is a key support role within our practice, ensuring the highest standards of infection control and instrument sterilisation are consistently met in line with HTM 01-05 and CQC regulations. You'll be working closely with our clinical and support staff to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant environment for both patients and colleagues.

No previous dental experience is necessary - full training will be provided in-house. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enter the dental field in a supportive, professional setting.

Working Hours:

Monday: 8:00am - 5:30pm Tuesday: 8:00am - 8:00pm Thursday: 8:00am - 5:30pm
Pay:
12.21 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising dental instruments and equipment Ensuring all sterilisation processes are completed and documented in accordance with guidelines Maintaining cleanliness in the decontamination and clinical areas Stock control and ensuring the correct storage of sterile instruments Supporting the clinical team by preparing trays and ensuring efficient turnaround of instruments Following all infection prevention protocols and health & safety procedures
Essential Requirements:

Strong attention to detail Ability to follow strict protocols and procedures Good time management and organisational skills A team player with a proactive and flexible approach Basic IT skills for logging and record-keeping Reliability and punctuality Hepatitis B vaccination (or willingness to receive one)
