Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Deep Drainage Layer to join our team. This role involves the installation and maintenance of drainage systems, ensuring effective water management in various environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with hand and power tools. A background in carpentry or construction is advantageous, as is the ability to perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install deep drainage systems according to specifications. Weld components as necessary to ensure durability and functionality. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks. Plumb drainage lines accurately to maintain proper flow. Perform basic mathematical calculations to measure and cut materials correctly. Operate commercial vehicles for transporting materials to job sites when required. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly and installation tasks. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations. Experience in carpentry or related fields is a plus. Valid driver's licence for commercial driving may be required based on job duties. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
