Job description




Join Defence Digital as an Infrastructure Engineer and play a vital role in supporting our major programmes. You will provide essential support to the Programme Manager whilst conducting independent assessments and configuration control of complex systems that deliver operational capability.

Responsibilities:




Working in a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers, you will support and maintain infrastructure solutions and services as directed and according to departmental policy. This includes;

Providing technical support to the programme Conducting independent assessments of systems configurations Scheduling and delivering project reviews to assess achievability against objectives Maintaining accurate records ensuring single version of truth Taking ownership of Baseline Design at designated sites

Qualifications




A SCIDA Foundation course will be needed to be undertaken within 12 months of taking up post. This course will be funded by MOD if the qualification is not already held by the successful applicant.

Where business needs allow,

some roles

may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.


External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
