The Opportunity:

We're offering a Degree Apprenticeship opportunity for motivated students currently studying an HNC in Building Services Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.

This is a fantastic chance to progress from HNC to a full BSc (Degree Apprenticeship) while gaining hands-on experience in a professional working environment. You'll be joining our estimating team, supporting the preparation of accurate and competitive costings for mechanical and electrical installations on a wide range of building projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assisting in the preparation of tender submissions and detailed cost estimates for M&E works Interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and schedules to help build cost plans Supporting senior estimators in evaluating supplier/subcontractor quotations Contributing to the production of bills of quantities and cost breakdowns Attending site visits and meetings to gain practical understanding of projects Maintaining accurate records and databases of costs and quotations Learning and using relevant software and digital tools Balancing your workplace learning with continued academic study towards a degree qualification

Who We're Looking For:

Essential criteria:

Currently studying or recently completed an HNC in Building Services, Construction, Quantity Surveying or similar Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills Interest in pursuing a long-term career in the construction or M&E sector Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Organised and able to manage time effectively between work and study Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn
Desirable:

Some experience (e.g., placement, part-time role, or site visits) in construction or building services Familiarity with estimating software or technical drawings Full UK driving licence or working towards it
