Key Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble all deli items according to the cafe's standards and order dockets.
Portion, slice, and arrange ingredients such as meats, cheeses, salads, and breads.
Ensure accuracy and presentation of orders before passing them to the kitchen team.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area throughout the shift.
Follow food hygiene and safety procedures at all times.
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed.
Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
Assist with basic prep tasks (e.g., chopping vegetables, refilling sauces) when required.
Skills & Qualities
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of food safety (training provided if needed).
