Overview

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Deli Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving a variety of fresh deli products. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, good organisational skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Prepare and serve a range of deli products, including Gyros and salads, ensuring high quality and presentation standards Assist customers with their selections, offering product recommendations and upselling where appropriate Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area in accordance with food safety regulations Manage stock levels, restocking shelves and ensuring product freshness Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers Support the team during busy periods by assisting with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications

Experience in food preparation or within a restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock management Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn new skills related to deli operations and food handling

Rates of pay are dependant upon age and experience of successful applicant.

Days of business Tuesday to Saturday daytimes between the hours of 9am-3pm
