About us

Salumeria Mariuccia is a small Italian deli in Derry. We are customer-centric, inclusive and fast-paced. We're a small team that is searching for a new member that is positive, motivated, and coming onboard with a can-do attitude.

Duties

- Prepare espresso based coffee drinks, and other hot beverages

- Barista experience would be a bonus

- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Upsell additional deli items or promotions to customers
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the quality and freshness of products
- Receive and stock inventory, ensuring proper rotation of products
- Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and grills
- Assist with pricing and labelling of deli products
- Handle cash transactions accurately

Qualifications

- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary experience or knowledge is a plus
- Ability to work in a kitchen setting, including standing for long periods of time and working with various kitchen equipment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Derry BT48 6HP: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:

customer Service: 1 year (preferred) Food preparation: 1 year (preferred)
