Deli Assistant - Full or Part Time | Cambrian Way, Carmarthen

Albert Rees Ltd -- home of Carmarthen Ham, the original PGI-protected Welsh air-dried ham -- is expanding. As we prepare to open our brand-new Deli and Butchery on Cambrian Way, we're looking for a friendly, food-loving Deli Assistant to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role serving customers, preparing food, and helping to keep our new shop running smoothly. You'll take pride in how the counter and shop are presented, creating attractive displays that showcase the best of local Welsh produce. There's also scope to help with social media if that's something you enjoy, but it's not essential.

Responsibilities

Serve customers at the deli counter - cheese, charcuterie, sandwiches and hampers Assist with food preparation, packing and stock rotation Create and maintain attractive counter and window displays Keep the shop clean, tidy and well presented Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service

Requirements

Friendly, approachable and confident with people Enthusiastic about good food and local produce Reliable, organised and able to work in a busy environment Good eye for presentation and attention to detail Team player with a positive attitude Welsh speaking a bonus, but not essential

Location: Cambrian Way, Carmarthen Hours: Full or part time - we'll shape hours around the right person Pay: Competitive, depending on experience Start date: November 2025
