Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of deli products, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties

Prepare a range of deli items including sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts in accordance with company standards. Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing excellent customer service at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli counter, equipment, and work area in compliance with food safety regulations. Restock shelves and display cases as needed to ensure product availability. Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and recording wastage. Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Follow all food safety procedures and hygiene standards diligently. Operate cash registers accurately and handle transactions efficiently.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels. Experience in kitchen or culinary environments is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively. Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required.
