Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of food items while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and customer service which will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our customers.

About the position

20 hours contract with holiday cover + weekends

You must be available to work mornings during the week + weekend

Duties

Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes Cook and serve meals, ensuring quality and taste are maintained throughout the process. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Provide excellent customer service Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure fresh ingredients are always available.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred - Not essential as training will be provided Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods Strong communication skills and a friendly disposition when interacting with customers are vital for success in this role.
