We are seeking a dedicated Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will play a vital role in ensuring food safety standards are met and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve hot food and cold deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, in accordance with food safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitised. Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling additional products when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation or kitchen roles, preferably within a restaurant or deli setting. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining excellent customer service. Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques or recipes.
