35 hours per week (5 out of 7 days, daytime shifts only)

We're looking for a friendly, reliable

Kitchen Assistant / Deli Cook

to join our busy cafe team at

Chennies Garden Centre

. This is a hands-on role preparing and serving simple, freshly made food in a welcoming environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

Preparing and cooking light meals including jacket potatoes, paninis, quiches, sausage rolls, soups, and salads Assisting in food preparation and presentation Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene Stocking and restocking fridges and counters throughout the day Taking and preparing customer orders when needed Serving food at the deli counter with a friendly manner Assisting with washing up and general kitchen cleaning Following food safety regulations and kitchen procedures
What We're Looking For:

A positive, can-do attitude and good communication skills Experience in a cafe, kitchen or food service role preferred but not essential Ability to work in a small team and stay calm during busy periods Flexibility to work weekends on a rota basis
