Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of delicious food items while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment. Your commitment to quality and customer service will play a key role in creating an enjoyable dining experience for our customers.

The hours for this role are midweek shifts with morning starts so would not be suitable for students.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Cook, slice, and serve deli meats, cheeses, salads, and other menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist customers with their orders, providing knowledgeable recommendations and answering any questions they may have. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure fresh ingredients are always available. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar kitchen role is essential. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of cooking techniques and meal preparation. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills are highly valued. Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
