Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Deli Manager to lead our deli team and ensure the delivery of high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for food and gastronomy. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will have a background in food preparation, cooking, and team management within a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.

Responsibilities

Manage daily deli operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards. Supervise and motivate staff to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to company policies. Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards. Coordinate food production schedules to optimise efficiency and minimise waste. Train new staff members in food handling, safety procedures, and customer service expectations. Maintain stock levels, order supplies as needed, and manage inventory control. Ensure the deli area is clean, organised, and visually appealing at all times. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to uphold excellent service standards. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the establishment.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a food service environment such as a restaurant, hotel, or catering business. Strong team management abilities with leadership qualities that inspire staff. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous. Previous experience in a deli or similar fast-paced retail environment is desirable.
