Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of fresh deli products, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential. Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Assist customers with their orders, providing friendly and efficient service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment regularly Manage stock levels, restocking shelves as needed, and rotating products to ensure freshness Follow food safety guidelines at all times to prevent contamination or spoilage Upsell additional items such as drinks or snacks to maximise sales opportunities Handle cash register operations accurately and efficiently Ensure all food preparation complies with health and safety regulations Assist in opening or closing duties as required by management

Skills

Experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanour Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance customer experience and sales performance
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
