We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join us in our exciting new delicatessen within the Newley refurbished Glossop Market Hall.
We are passionate about food & have curated a delicious cheese & charcuterie counter along with artisanal store cupboard items for sale in our community shop.
We will also be serving cheese boards, charcuterie boards & small plates to customers within the food hall.

The ideal candidate is a real 'people person' who enjoys a chat & effortlessly builds strong relations with customers & team members alike.
Experience in working within a deli/cafe environment is desirable but not essential.
A strong background in food preparation coupled with proven leadership skills are key for success!
A genuine passion for food & a keen interest in building product knowledge will set you apart from other candidates.
Team training will be an important part of the role, an ongoing process to ensure that all colleagues maintain an excellent level of product knowledge.
A great listener, you will engage & respond to customer feedback, which will be integral to our understanding of the products which our customers love & will keep coming back for.
Proven understanding of safe food handling is pivotal & you will supervise, train & oversee your colleagues to ensure that our high standards are always delivered.
An eye for detail, you will ensure that dishes are prepared & presented correctly.
A cool head under pressure, you will support & encourage the team during busy times & ensure that standards do not slip.

Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation meets quality standards.
Supervise and train colleagues, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
Manage food production processes, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene regulations.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections of the kitchen & customer area.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Address any customer inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.
Skills
Proven experience in supervising roles within deli/cafe/restaurant/hospitality setting.
Excellent team management abilities, with a focus on leadership and motivation.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production & storage. We will invest in all of our team to ensure that training & certification is in place.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards, attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and managers.
A passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable & warm customer experiences.

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
