Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of goods, ensuring that products reach our customers safely and efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to be physically fit and capable of handling demanding tasks.

Duties

Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle. Ensure that all items are securely packed and accounted for before departure. Communicate effectively with the delivery driver to coordinate routes and schedules. Help navigate delivery routes, ensuring timely arrival at each destination. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from customers. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the delivery vehicle and warehouse area. Perform routine checks on delivery equipment to ensure safety and functionality.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery environment is preferred but not essential. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during deliveries. A valid driver's licence is advantageous, particularly for those interested in commercial driving roles. Experience as a van driver is a plus but not mandatory. Strong organisational skills with an emphasis on teamwork and reliability.
