Delivery & Assembly Driver
Job Description
Homebound is a Furniture Rental company that launched in 2020. We are unique in the UK market offering a marketplace for furniture both to consumers and businesses.
We are looking for a physically fit individual who can deliver & carry heavy items into customer's homes and be careful and considerate of that fact. A white glove service approach is required. Guidance, instruction and training will be given as necessary.
Furniture assembly skills/experience required!
The individual must have a clean licence, and must also be eligible to work in the UK. Necessary documentation for right to work is required. You must be comfortable driving a large van through Greater London.
The individual must also be willing to do general labour within the warehouse to assist where necessary, this may be sweeping up, cleaning furniture, packing items for delivery or occasionally building furniture, and again guidance and training will be given where necessary.
This is a physical role. We would be looking for someone who is able to pick up, carry and manoeuvre large items up stairs and through narrow hallways.
Hours of work will be 9.00am - 17.00pm.
Key Requirements:
The Candidate
must
hold a clean driving licence and have skills/experience assembling furniture.Good planning and organisational skills Excellent verbal communication skills Good literacy and numerical skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team Ability to cope with pressure Ability to cope with change Work closely & constructively with colleagues Good physical strength and dexterity 'Handy' with good ability fixing things Ability to build furniture quickly Able to work on foot for extended periods
:
Pick up and deliver orders Follow procedures and requirements as per work order. Attention to detail and care required, to be able to get furniture into and out of homes with assembly often required. Inspecting returned items and doing any small refurbishment/cleaning. General warehouse duties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
