Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, good organisational abilities, and a customer-focused attitude to maintain our high standards of service.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to clients and customers. Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, with care to prevent damage or injury. Communicate clearly with clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays. Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met. Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times. Follow all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving environments. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; a driver qualification is preferred. Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling goods. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members. Strong organisational skills to manage routes and schedules effectively. Knowledge of traffic regulations and safety procedures relevant to commercial driving. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
