We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely service and excellent customer satisfaction. This role requires a professional driver with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and excellent communication skills. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting our logistics and distribution operations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a 7.5-tonne lorry to deliver goods to designated locations across the region. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to legal driving hours and regulations. Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays. Follow all health and safety procedures during loading, unloading, and driving activities.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving expertise in a similar role. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. Knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance requirements for commercial vehicles. Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
