Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to all road safety regulations. Responsibilities

Safely operate a 7.5-tonne lorry to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety procedures Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays Comply with all legal requirements, including driving hours regulations and road safety laws

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with 7.5 Tonne vehicles or similar commercial vehicles Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members Organised with the ability to plan routes efficiently and manage time effectively Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks that involve heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing
