Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the safe delivery of goods to various locations. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, adhering to scheduled routes. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload goods, which may involve heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transport. Maintain communication with the warehouse team and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes and vehicle logs, accurately and promptly. Follow all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with 7.5 tonne vehicles. Valid driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles. Strong commercial driving experience with a clean driving record. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, providing familiarity with loading and unloading procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading tasks. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
