Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely and professional service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with heavy lifting. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting our logistics and distribution operations.

Duties

Safely operate a 7.5-tonne lorry to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres across designated routes Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured and handled with care Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules and delivery updates Assist with warehouse duties, including loading, unloading, and organising stock when required Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company policies at all times

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with 7.5 Tonne or similar commercial vehicles Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members Organised, punctual, and capable of managing multiple deliveries within tight schedules Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations relevant to commercial vehicle operation
