We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to all safety regulations. Duties

Safely operate a 7.5 tonne lorry to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres across designated routes Plan delivery schedules in accordance with company guidelines and customer requirements Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, with the assistance of warehouse equipment or manual handling where necessary Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining high standards of customer service Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with 7.5 Tonne vehicles or similar commercial driving roles Valid UK driver's licence with a clean driving record, ideally with a driver qualification card (CPC) Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently Knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial drivers Flexibility to work varied schedules as required by operational demands
