Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and efficient self employed Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary, and a willingness to succeed.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as required. Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries to customers. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns, including any discrepancies. Conduct regular checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs. Assist in the warehouse as needed, including organising stock and preparing orders for delivery.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. But not required. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage. Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including vans Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
